Establishing a Purpose-Driven Video Strategy That Scaled

Turning YouTube into a Brand and Utility Engine
Sharp’s YouTube presence lacked strategic direction, consistency, and brand impact. The channel was populated with a limited number of low-quality videos, offering little clarity around purpose, audience value, or how video supported broader brand, support, and growth objectives. Content was unorganized, difficult to navigate, and underperforming in both engagement and discovery, failing to meet consumer expectations or reinforce Sharp’s credibility as a trusted manufacturer.
The challenge was to transform YouTube from a passive content repository into a high-impact brand and utility channel. This required establishing a clear content strategy, elevating production quality, and organizing video formats around real consumer needs, particularly education, support, and problem-solving. At the same time, the channel needed to be optimized for modern discovery behaviors across YouTube, search engines, and emerging AI-driven answer platforms, ensuring consumers could quickly find solutions while building trust in the Sharp brand.
Leading The Sharp YouTube Transformation
I led the strategic overhaul of Sharp’s YouTube channel, defining the vision, content strategy, and operating framework needed to transform it into a high-impact brand and utility platform. I established the channel structure, clarified content objectives, and set creative and production standards to ensure consistency, quality, and brand alignment.
The channel was organized into four strategic content pillars, Brand, Feature, Support, and Lifestyle/Recipe, each aligned to specific consumer needs and modern discovery behaviors. To improve efficiency and scalability, I introduced AI voiceover tools and implemented script and storyboard requirements as a prerequisite to production, reducing revision cycles and improving team alignment. I also expanded support video production and optimized videos with SEO/AEO-rich descriptions and chapters to increase visibility, usability, and performance across search and emerging AI-driven platforms.
Throughout the build phase, I provided hands-on guidance while keeping the team focused on high-priority initiatives. Once the framework was in place, I transitioned day-to-day production and channel management to a dedicated owner, enabling sustainable execution while maintaining strategic oversight.

Turning Video Into a Scalable Growth Engine
The new video strategy transformed Sharp’s YouTube presence into a consumer-first solution hub, driving significant performance gains: a 269% increase in views, 116.7% growth in watch time, 83.6% lift in subscribers, and a 175% increase in impressions. Beyond performance metrics, the channel now operates with a clear, scalable growth strategy positioning video as a long-term brand, support, and discovery engine.
